This is a ten (10) month position with 32 hours / week

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirement Registered Dietitian, LRD or Licensed Nutritionist, LN.  Licensed in the State of North Dakota. 

 

Preferred  Qualifications:

Organizational & interpersonal skills, ability to utilize computerized food service management system, knowledge of quality food production and distribution.  Prior experience in large kitchen management.           

 

Reports To:

Child Nutrition Director

 

Job Goal:

Provide outstanding service to the Child Nutrition Program.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development of quantity recipes and ensure the use of standardized recipes.
  • Analyze and ensure all reimbursable meals meet the nutritional requirements.
  • Assist in the development of menus that meet USDA requirements.
  • Document all special diets and allergies.  Inform administration, teachers and food service personnel of dietary needs and alterations.
  • Complete analytical studies as defined by the Child Nutrition Director
  • Update files on production nutrition information from companies.
  • Coordinate nutrition education activities and meet with the schools and community groups.
  • Provide nutrition information for web site, menu, posters and training meetings.
  • Assist office manager as necessary
  • Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
