Description

Education:           Bachelors’ degree in Teaching. Must have or be eligible for a North Dakota teaching license.

 

Job Goal:             Implement the RISE Summer Curriculum in order to provide appropriate learning experiences for all students.

 

June 4th-June 7th Synchronous Blended Training 9:00-11:00 & 12:00-2:00.    

ELA June 4, 6, & 7

Math June 4, 5, & 7

 

June 10-July 12 (with July 4-5 off) = 23 days of instruction

8:00am-12:00pm Instruction

12:00-12:30.    Prep

 

 

Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

  1. Ensure students are actively engaged in learning throughout sessions.
  2. Attend weekly professional development meetings and collaborate with other RISE teachers and professional supports.
  3. Complete weekly pre-work for PD sessions.
  4. Attend pre-RISE professional development training (June 4-7).
  5. Provide direct and indirect instructional support to students in a positive environment.
  6. Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining an environment conducive to learning for all students.
  7. Communicate with parents regarding academic and behavioral concerns.
  8. Intellectually prepare and lesson plan daily.
  9. Administer a pre and post assessment as well as progress monitor throughout the summer.
  10. Establish clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects and communicate those objectives to students.
  11. Identify absence dates ahead of time and provide substitute plans, as needed.
  12. Perform related work as required.

 

Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand. The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.  Ability to manage emotions and provide emotional support during stressful circumstances.

 

Terms of Employment:  Working June 5 – July 12th, 2024. Non-benefited position.

 

Evaluation:  By the Supervisor

 

Wage determined by the 2023-2025 Teacher Negotiated Agreement.
