Full-time Production Supervisor for Child Nutrition.
This is a ten (10) month full-time position working mid August - mid June
40 hours per week
Hours: 4:00 am - 12:00 pm (Noon)
Education: High School Diploma. An Associate Degree in Food Service Management is preferred.
Qualifications: Experience with food preparation in a commercial setting, human relation skills, serve safe certified, ability to utilize computerized computerized food service systems.
Job Goal: Provide outstanding leadership to kitchen staff and kitchen personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise the production and distribution of food and supplies from the main kitchen to satellite kitchens district wide.
- Assist in the development of standardized recipes and menu items.
- Maintain computerized menu forecasting for all school sites district wide.
- Meet state and federal requirements for food safety and sanitation.
- Monitor food and supply usage by school site.
- Follow HACCP procedures for handling food, supplies and equipment.
- Oversee the kitchen requisitions and purchase orders for food and supplies using computerized food management system.
- Assist kitchen personnel in the preparation of food.
- Work with warehouse to insure schools are informed of changes in orders.
- In charge of planning, scheduling, finding workers for special events & catering, ordering the products & billing.
- Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Reports to: Director of Child Nutrition
Evaluation: Annual written evaluation by the supervisor.
